Please
be aware SwimAmerica Licensees
must comply with the following requirements:
1.
You must maintain your yearly ASCA membership, which is currently
$70 a year.
2.
You must be an ASCA Level Two Certified Coach. If you are not,
you must take the Level
2 Home Study Course. This course is currently $45.
3.
All coaching staff must have their own SwimAmerica coaching manual.
This manual is currently
$23.95.
4. You must use the SwimAmerica Award system. Every
swimmer must receive a SwimAmerica certificate on the first day of lessons
(.90 each). A roll of stickers for the certificates is $18 for a roll
of 1,000. Station #10 stickers are .20 each.
5. If you cannot be on deck at all times during lessons,
you must have a site supervisor on deck actively directing each lesson.
The training fee for site supervisors is $300. They must maintain ASCA
membership and take the Level 2 home study course.
6. If you are using uniforms, it is required that you
use SwimAmerica approved uniforms for staff and swimmers.
7. If you are using station signs, it is required that
you use SwimAmerica approved station signs for safety purposes.
8. It is required that all SwimAmerica program directors update
their license yearly. Licenses are updated by attending the
SwimAmerica Conference at the World Clinic or by purchasing the SwimAmerica
Conference audio tapes and submitting a written test.
9. Retaining a SwimAmerica license is subject to meeting requirements
listed above in 1-8.
