PARTICIPANTS
Infants from 6 months to 35 months with a parent
FORMAT
a 20 to 30-minute class with up to nine other couples
METHODOLOGY
We teach parents to train their children in essential life-saving skills. We do this in a gentle child-focused environment using fun cues which reinforce the learning of vital lifesaving skills.
DESIRED OUTCOMES
Lifesaving skills are paramount. Babies learn to get a breath before entering the water in an accidental submersion; to get back to the wall if they fall into
the pool; and, to roll over on their back if they can't get to the wall quickly.
